Level Up!: The Guide to Great Video Game Design by Scott Rogers
I've read lots of game design books and I think this is the best or second? game design book I ever read so far.
Author has a real world experiences in gaming industry and he explains really well. (fun ways)
Particularly level 17(which is a chapter)... other game design book didn't explain it.
I suggest this book for this kind of readers.

1. no professional game design experience.
2. wanna see real world game design cases.
3. what publisher does and what you need to prepare. :|
4. I'm going to make a platformer.

3D Graphics for Game Programming by JungHyun Han
I have/read many books about 3d graphics programming and I really like this book because author has explained all stuffs and really clear.
Which means, author didn't skip mathematical steps. Don't compare to Dr. Eberly's book. Eberly's book is hard for beginner.

Author has explained theories, examples and mathematical stuffs too but not hard ways.

For instance, Get a perspective projection matrix.
It is really important to know how to get a perspective projection matrix(mathematically) and unfortunately other book didn't explain it clearly or skipped few steps(few steps but it was important.)
This book is not a practical exercise/theory only book. I… Read more
Essential Computer Animation fast: How to Understa&hellip by John Vince

I bought this book by mistake!! I thought this book is for programmer who wanted to know about computer animation system...
Anyway I read this book and I think... it will be good for student or people who doesn't know anything about computer animation.
Author described many things CLEARLY.(but not perfectly) It doesn't contain any mathematical stuffs and I think everyone can read this book easily and can have wide idea about computer animation.
The only thing I don't like is... it is a little bit expensive for this kind of book.
