The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste ~ Ministry
Ministry is one of those industrial metal bands that needs to be heard at least once in your lifetime. A Mind... is the band's best, tied with Psalm 69. There is a bunch of catchy songs, each with a very intelligent message. Lyrics are harsh, brutal, and have paved an act for legions of new bands.

If you think industrial metal is boring, give this a spin, it will be hard to take out of your cd player for the first week or so, it is really that addictive. There is a reason why this is one of the bestselling cds on the Amazon list, even though it came out in 1989. Wow. That's almost 20 years. There's the proof, no more need to write more.

2.0 out of 5 stars Korn might be over, Feb 4 2008
First, if you think a mellow, mock-indstrial romp is a good approach for a Korn album, then you'll want to start here.

Easily the band's worst, there is no catchy material, or memorable stuff that were so evident in the other cds, instead we get a long, boring cd that should be in a bargian bin. Why? Korn had a good reason from 1994-2004 being one of the best rock bands of the 90's.

The singles aren't even that oustanding, which is evidence that you might want to listen to the melodies of them, while thinking "Why does this band call themselves Korn if they sound nothing like them? Oh, wait, they're just trying to cash in new fans"

Let's hope they recover… Read more
Ten Thousand Fists ~ Disturbed
Ten Thousand Fists ~ Disturbed
Do any of you remember Believe? It had melodic singing, excellent guitar work, but something was missing... the "awesomeness" from the first cd. Disturbed tries to emulate the recordings through their newest, 10,000 fists.

Let me just say, it may have a more mainstream sound, but it is clearly a highlight in today's society with no guitar solos, Disturbed shows that their lead sure can play some sick licks if he feels up to it, which shows that they aren't bad.

Sure, this album has some political material in it, but there is never so much that is an tired left-fisted throwdown like what has happened to many bands against the administrations.
