What a disappointment! When you start off with a disclaimer about the quality, you know something amiss. This series is dated and certainly grade B. A waste of your money. Amazon should have a disclaimer about purchasing this. I'd return it if I could.

Disappointing copy !, Dec 23 2009

Sadly this was not release by the studio,but copied by Timeless which unfortunately produce a poor copy, When you see a notice that there may be sound and picture quality difficulties,it should be a definite sign your DVD leave alot to be desired. A black and white movie should be crisp, not bleached out and waving in some scenes. The only saving grace is the performce of Joel McCrea and Vvonne DeCarlo who play of each other.

Aircraft scenes good for a laugh!, Dec 23 2009

While the movie has some very good scenes, the producers must have run out of funds when it came to using the correct german and british aircraft. Harvards straffing the beach with Nazi marking, main aerial battles where apparently shot on a sound stage ; the size of the cockpits could hold 4-6 pilots. Surely, anyone interested in WWII know a british aircraft from the german aircraft, how they can pretend otherwise shows contempt for the viewer. Sad to see Van Johnson taking a role just for the money; apprently his career was on the downside. DVD was certainly overpriced, should have been below the $10 level.
