I am completely baffled by this book and the reviews it has received! After only a few pages I was aghast and realized I had thrown my money away.
I am not a medical professional or scientist but all of my own personal research into diabetes and related blood disorders strongly recommend avoiding refined carbohydrates. This book is full of recipes using highly refined carbohydrates: white sugar and white flour.
I also found recipes containing an uncomfortably high percentage of calories from fat. I expected recipes emphasizing whole, low glycemic foods prepared in as close to their natural state as possible - foods that had as much of their beneficial properties (such as nutrients… Read more

I am not the type of student the author had in mind when writing this book. I am 41, a full time employee, as well as full time student. You can imagine how little time I have for meal planning and cooking, hence why I was attracted to this book. After reading the other reviews, I bought it and am so glad I did!
I have tried three different dishes from this book and have had three screaming successes! The book delivers what it promises, quick, cheap, easy, DELICIOUS food. The Sunday Muffins were yummy (and didn't last very long).
