Excellent story from a very talented writer. This is a sort of supernatural thriller for teens, very enjoyable. Looking forward to the second instalment.
This really is a superb series - and deserves a wider audience. Series 1-3 are available in the UK and, for some reason, Series 4 is out in Australia. A multi-region DVD player, from Be$t Buy, is needed to see them.
As with My Family, the reluctance to bring out the series in North America is puzzling. It is smart, snappy and intelligent. The writing is exceptional, and you are torn between loving and hating the characters. You end up doing both, in equal measure. I'm two episodes from the end of Series 4, tracked down via the Internet, and am already wondering how I am going to cope without my nightly visits to the Braithwaites.
