The kids love it, and it's great value for the money., April 30 2008

Wow. I've never seen the girls so interested in building anything. They've been gathering rocks, learning how to balance them and having a friendly competition on sizes and shapes. And they're also now much more interested in the Canadian part of their heritage.

I've now bought more for my friends' children and have received many positive comments.

But Best Buy has a better deal, Mar 31 2008

This season moves us closer to the conslusion, leaving us with mny open questions but also answering many and further developing the characters.

The quality of the DVDs is good and it's nice to have the entire season in one package.

I found the price differntial between Amazon.ca and Amazon.com to be negligible and pretty-much eaten up by the cost of shipping from the US.

But right now at Best Buy it's the same price as Amazon.ca and there's a 32-page mini comic book.

Good extras, enjoyable season and characters, loses points for no 'play all' option and no subtitles, Dec 28 2006

This season was the first one we had tuned in to, and it won us over.

We stayed largely because of Rupert and Sandra, based on their attitudes in the first episode. Rupert's love for life, and Sandra's respect for the islanders they meet in the market, and skills in dealing with them, won us over.

OK, I'll admit there was also some appeal to seeing just how bad "Johnny Rotten" could be, some amazement at the contrast of resources and attitudes between the two tribes, and the twist with the "Outcasts" was very well done (and unexpected), but none of those elements alone (or even all of them together) would have kept us watching for the entire season had it not been for… Read more
