We really do not buy children's CDs as all too often they can be quite painful for the parents to sit through - especially for the 100th time. I loved this CD to bits (before it was scratched useless) and would sneak it on with or without the kids and could put it on repeat x infinity. Fun to dance around to but doesn't leave the kids so hyper they are frothing at the mouth. Mellow enough one can listen & relax to as well. I will be buying it again, well worth it!!
I read this book at the age of 18 after a co-worker at the bookstore I worked at recommended it to me. I remember was not really too sure if I would like it at the time - boxing, really? hmmmmm. Don't let that deter you as it very quickly became my favorite novel - that and the sequel Tandia. I'll have to re-read it soon as it has been at least 15 years since I have picked it up.
I read this book after our third child was born and I really wish I had read it sooner. Not that I did not already share and follow the same values of the "simple life" but I always had a deep down guilty feeling that I should be giving my children more more MORE like "everyone else". I don't really need a book to reassure me but it sure helps to have some back up. I loved the idea of the family meeting.
