If you want to know how to do all that fancy smancy royal icing decorating the good old english way THIS IS the book for you. Great how-to's, great pictures, and lots of templates in the back of the book. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to learn all the tricks for royal icing.
Amazing recipes in this book. Recipes are in 5 categories and the recipes....I haven't tried yet, but the one I do want to try in the Connoisseurs chapter is the Creme Brule cupcake. This book I'm sure will be used more than my cake cookbook.
I must say that this book is absolutely full of beautiful pictures and yes there is 1000 pictures in 5 diefferent categories. There is frosting recipes at the end of the book, and a directory of the images to tell you what frosting was used for that image. Great for inspiration if you are an experienced decorator but there are no how-to's on any of the ideas if you are a beginner. Gives you incentive on what can be done. I liked it.
