Alone in the Dark by Atari
This game frustrated me to the point where I took my disk out of my wii, snapped it in two then threw it in the garbage. That would be fine if the game was frustrating because it was difficult, but it was simply an unfinished game with tons of glitches. The story is also confusing and uninteresting. The game also doesn't deliver on it's "improvised weapon" deal.

1. At some point in the game you are on a cliffside and need to climb up a rope. After you climb for a bit your view changes then you need to swing onto a train. This graphic novel (supposedly) follows the story of the German "political-art-noise" band One Model Nation in the 70s. The material is obscure enough that it deserves a bit of explanation from the author… Read more

This is a graphic novel adaptation of Alan Moore's novella of the same name. The adaptation stays very true to the original source and takes almost all of its text from the novella. This is a collection of the 4 issues in the mini-series plus the original novella at the end. The entire book is in grey tones which lends it a very dream-like feeling.

While the story is about Som-Som, the prostitute to wizards who has had her brain severed so she can never act on what she sees or hears, the story is primarily about her friend Rwara Chin. Rwara is in a very abusive relationship and Som-Som is powerless to do anything.

The story explores the ideas of appearance/reality and… Read more
