as so many have stated, it's another filler book. I truly feel that since the series took off on HBO, the books have just been another promotion and grab for cash. There is no meat to these books anymore and they just feel pumped out. if you've invested in the 11 previous books, get this one used or at your library and stick it out but DON"T pay full hardcover prices for another fluff and wishy washy addition to this series.
I like many others was not overly impressed by #10 book in the series. I was underwhelmed here again after hoping that the last book's content and writing quality was a 'one off' event. this book AGAIN felt like i was being strung along to give my money and for not much in return. the plot lines dragged with few big events (i even re-read #10 the day before i started 11 to get into it all!). the usual violence but not the same drama as usual or balance of romance/intimate moments. As others have said, this book wasn't the best book in the series. a fast read with little plot development and not much continuity from the last book. it felt as though written by a first time author and so much of the wit and fun from the other books seemed to be missing. there were adventures in the book but none of them felt as full and rich and long lasting as in the rest of sookie's life! slap-dash is the best way to describe this work. get the paperback.
