Even after 30 years, this group still amazes me. It just gets better all the time. TOP's latest "Oakland Zone is a must have. Larry Braggs is an outstanding addition as lead vocalist. There is not enough room here to comment on any individual tracks. The whole recording is simply a remarkable effort. Garibaldi and Prestia still drive the most powerful rhythm section in the cosmos. The horns are toped by two new trumpeters, and these guys are good. This CD is all brand new material that reflects the classic TOP, funky, greasy, hair-parting, on fire, grab you by the throat soul sound that knocks you over.
