5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!, Mar 25 2008
What a concert! I bought this on VHS back in the 80's and I was blown away then! Twenty years later it still ROCKS!! This was Iron Maiden at their peak, and every fan should have this in their collection - nobody puts off shows like this anymore.
Jim Marshall - The Father of Loud: The Story of th&hellip by Rich Maloof
Great book on a great guy! Lots of interesting history here. Plus a LOT of info about the amp itself, plus pics showing the inside of the things. Only reson I am giving it a 4 and not a 5 is that there wasn't enough details about all the amps or changes. Yes, I know this is a book about the man and not the amp, but if they're going into THAT much detail about the amp amyway, then why not put a bit more?

A great reference book, especially if you're shopping around for a used Marshall.

Also, I didn't like the way he put the information. Too many quotes. it reminded me of a "Behind the Music" episode where the narrator, Jim Forbes, would say something and then they would show a clip of the guys giving a quote. Fine for a documentary, but a book should not be written in… Read more
