Chasing Daylight: How My Forthcoming Death Transfo&hellip by Gene O'Kelly
5.0 out of 5 stars A Life-Changer, Mar 4 2013
I gave "Chasing Daylight" a 5-star rating because 5 is the maximum amount of stars available. This is truly a magnificent book from a literary, narrative and presentation perspective. That's the just the technical side. On the content side, it' a life-changer. I can say this with a high degree of confidence because it changed my life in many positive ways. If you are healthy and fit, this is the one book you must read now- for the message of "Chasing Daylight" is incredibly valuable to those of us who are not in a health crisis. I salute the memory of Gene O'Kelley.
Montenegro, 4th by Annalisa Rellie
Montenegro, 4th by Annalisa Rellie
I purchased this book to prepare for a visit to Montenegro, and used it as a primary resource. I did so based on the premise that the book had been rigorously updated. Based on our experience in the country, that is not the case. The recommendations were seriously out of date, and important facets of the Montenegrin culture pertaining to tourists and the tourist experience were glossed over or omitted. A travel book should be helpful, and the score given this book reflects my assessment of its helpfulness to us.
Plenty in Life Is Free: Reflections on Dogs, Train&hellip by Kathy Sdao
"Plenty in Life is Free" is a powerful book on many levels. It is succinctly written and conceptually brilliant. In 93 pages, Ms. Sdao rolls out the conceptual underpinning and strategic framework of a leadership practice that creates winning environments for trainee and trainer. I share my life with Angus, an English Cocker Spaniel pup, and also conduct leadership training workshops for future leaders in the co-op and not-for profit fields, and this book inspired me on both levels. The concepts and direction contained in her book are wise and productive for training both humans and dog. if you have an interest in training either and want to expand your horizons, buy this book. It is a gem
