The sound of this release is great, which as a vinyl lover is important to me. I purchased it because I lacked the UK version with side 2 being regular Beatle tracks instaed of instrumental music. The cover is a good replica, and the vinyl itself is heavy duyt 180 gram.
As expected, thi 2 cd set is outstanding. The band sounds in top form, the sound is excellent. People will argue about songs played versus not played, but what is here is worth it. The sound certainly beats The Song Remains the Same. Jason does not disappoint on drums. The liner notes are interesting, comments from each band member on the concert.
While this collection captures the hits, there is room for more album tracks. The addition of the Live in Japan album is good, as are some of the other live songs added. However, it would have been nice to have all the BTO phases covered. It does get marks for some previously unavailable on cd songs, like For the Weekend, and the live version of Blue Collar is outstanding. Overall the sound is excellent.
