THis is Ottawa's Five Man Electrical Band in their early days - both as the Staccatos - and as the Five Man Electrical Band. Everything offically recorded between 1965-1969 - with some extras! It begins with their independently released single "It Isn't Easy" - through their Capitol records singles "Small Town Girl", "It's A Long Way Home", "C'mon Everybody", "Let's Run Away" and right into their massive hit "Half Past Midnight". Contrary to reviews I've read on Amazon.com that have stated these are alternate takes, that depends on one's point of view. If you grew up listening to the original album, you might consider these to be alternate takes, and therefore you have the original white cover "A Charlie Brown Christmas CD" to fall back on. On the other hand, those of us who grew up with the original animated Peanuts TV Christmas special and have watched it 30 times over+ know that the versions in the special itself differ from what appeared on that original album and the subsequent white covered CD(that claimed to be original TV soundtrack).
