I first read the Clan of the Cave Bear when I was 14 years old and loved it. Last year I found an old copy in a second hand book store and re-read it, as I was older I suppose it made more sense and I took more of it in. Recently I bought all 5 books of the series and have been reading them non stop for the last 6 months. The last one Shelters of Stone is a little boring compared to the others, nothing new really happens but Ayla's sex life is amazing I am very jealous, what a great imagination Ms Aeul has!
