K-9: The Complete Series [Import]

4.0 out of 5 stars Dr Who spin off, Sept. 20 2013
A Dr Who spin off that has the same SciFi/Fantasy, alien invasion feel that Dr Who has. I believe that anyone who likes Dr Who will like this series. And it's not a silly kids show like the cover art makes it look, it's done seriously and I believe it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there is no strong personality [like Tom Baker, Matt Smith, David Tennant etc in Dr Who] to give the series that extra punch that great shows always have. And yes, in this series K9 always flies, you don't see him running around on the floor. A definite buy.
Elisabeth Sladen: The Autobiography by Elisabeth Sladen
3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat dissapointing, Sept. 28 2012
I am a huge fan of hers so this is not a grump by someone who didn't like her in the first place. I was surprised by the frequent negative tone, especially regarding Phillip Hinchcliffe, where she directly contradicts statements she made in commentary tracks on Dr Who dvds. It's dissapointing to hear that she says nice things when other people are sitting beside her and then the complete opposite in this bio when no one can challenge her. I had trouble finishing it. Also, the reading on the cd was kind of flat and boring.
Bellydance Superstars [Import] DVD ~ Rania
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, Sept. 28 2012
This is by far the best performance dvd I've seen. My favorite before this was "Live in Paris", but this surpasses it. This is strictly for entertainment however and is not for people who want all wide shots to watch technique etc. Every aspect of this dvd is amazing: the set, the music, the performances and the costumes are all fantastic. The opening number by Amar Gamal is worth the price all by itself. For pure entertainment you can't beat this. My only negative is that the dvd is 4:3 letterbox so that there are black bars all around, but on my 42 inch screen that was fine too.
