After the last Calder book I promised myself not to read another Calder book again. I went to the library and Calder Promise was on the new bookshelf. Being a glutton for punishment and since it was raining I decided to read it. It must be a formula for Janet Dailey! Add new characters, kill off beloved ones. Does she use the same outline for every book? I loved the first three Calder books and Cat's book so I think that's why it so upsets me the way Janet Dailey kills off a Calder in every book. In this book it made no sense at all to me when she killed off Logan Echohawk.
