This movie got a big build-up by the media and there were heady promises of Academy Awards but I thought it was very dark and hard to hear due to British accents and the Directors idea of conveying sinister moments by filming them almost in the dark. A far cry from Alec Guinness' portrail of Smiley in the orginal movie. Pass it up, it's a bummer.
