5.0 out of 5 stars good movie, May 8 2001
I've never been a huge fan of the silent film era. In fact I never watched silent films until a class a took. This was one of the 12 or so silent films we saw in the class and 1 of only 2 that I really liked.

The set design really sets the mood for the film. The scenery and acting were great. Conrad Veidt as Cesare was great as well as Werner Krauss as Dr. Caligari. I like the end of the film as well. The actual ending was not going to be that way it is. It's better this way. If you're not a fan of the silent era, start with this film. It's a good one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Movie, May 2 2001
I gave this film five stars because it is one of the coolest movies I've ever seen. It has some of the best actions scenes in any movie of it's type. Blow's Deep Impacts out of the water. For the guy who said it was too unrealistic, it's a movie, and most of them are unrealistic, except for true stories. I'm not trying to start an argument here, don't get me wrong. Anyway, if you're into things blowing up, asteroids, space and Steve Buscemi, buy this movie.
Lawrence of Arabia (Widescreen) DVD ~ Peter O'Toole
Lawrence of Arabia (Widescreen) DVD ~ Peter O'Toole
I've only seen this movie once. My senior year in high school, I saw it in my history class. I instantly fell in love with it. It's hard to call a movie you've only seen once your favorite, but with Lawrence of Arabia, it's hard not to call it your favorite. The scenes are cool, the directing is great and the directing is phenominal. It doesn't get any better than this. I'm a film student currently and only dream of living up to this type of movie, which I'm sure I'll never be able to. I'll be honest, I don't own this film YET, but I strongly recommend, if you haven't seen it or don't own it, see it and add it to your coollection.
