Redeemer of Souls (Deluxe) ~ Judas Priest
I have to admit first off that after every time I listen to this album I like it more and more each time. That saying this is a good album for Priest but for me is just lacking that "Delivering the Goods", "Tyrant", "Genocide", "Exciter", Desert Plains....etc, etc kind of....ultimate rock/metal experience that those old albums and songs conjured up . Maybe it will grow on me and don't get me wrong this is a great album I just think a 5 star would be for Hell Bent for Leather, Unleashed In The East, or Stained Class...and IMO Redeemer of Souls does not reach those heights, thus the 3 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars light but powerfull, May 26 2014
very light weight (don't get me wrong it's not flimsy or anything like that) and basic and super powerful even on the lowest of the three speeds. The only drawback is how noisy it is when in earshot of it (lowest setting is all I can tolerate). If you want a very powerful, easily movable fan and are not concerned about how loud it is, this one is a great choice.

This album features Sylvain Houde on lead vocals with the more familiar Maurizio Iacono on bass and backing vocals and takes a bit to grow on you. This is Kataklysm before the polish, before the iconic confidence that has made them the force that they are today. Don't get me wrong, this is some brutal stuff, I just think they try a bit to hard to get into the Rush like five part song titles instead of focusing on what us death metal fans truly love...speed, force, power and… Read more
