Based on the title and the author (a pediatrician), this was exactly the book that I needed. However, I was disappointed. The recurring theme was that we need to get down to the toddler level to communicate with them (Toddler-ese), however I think there is a better way to do this than by emulating the way that they talk. It took me a long time to get through this book as it was repetitive and it was a variety of examples of how to apply toddler-ese. Sure there were some good points from the book, but I have read better books that explain the psychology of toddlers which teach parents to lead by example, encouragement instead of praise, learning by consequence instead of punishment in a… Read more
