This isn't a bad action/adventure story. The action scenes are well written and thrilling. The locations are interesting and it revolves a lot around -and under- water. Though the characters are a little clichéd and the ideas suggested are perhaps a little too far-fletched (especially the ending). Suggested if you like this type of story though. But Rollins' other books are better (see Subterranean, Amazonia, Ice Hunt and Map of Bones) and strongly recommended.
This is an excellent story that combines very well science with action/adventure. The science involved is truly awe-inspiring and is easily understood, without being boring. The action scenes are harrowing and very thrilling. The characters are quite interesting (especially mathematician Ian Malcolm). It's probably my all-time favourite novel. Strongly recommended!
