2.0 out of 5 stars OK but not great, April 11 2012
I bought this album in the week leading into the VH concert that was coming to town. Not a bad effort, but I haven't listened to it very much since the show. A few good songs, but nothing that I'd call a classic, or any songs that I figure I'll go back to in a years time. Good to hear what the guys are up to and how they sound in 2012, but not much more than that.

I was surprised to find both movies packaged together, but then again, who would pay more to buy them separately?!

"Eddie l" is definitely darker, and borders on a b-grade horror movie near the end. In this movie, Eddie is NOT a sympathetic character, but the music carries the film, and "On The Dark Side" makes it worthwhile. Watch the movie, but definitely buy the CD for this one song!

"Eddie 2" is different, in that Eddie is more "the tortured artist" as opposed to the dictatorial band leader. The funny part is that this film is built around a ficticious major rock event in Montreal in the 80's. Having grown up in the city during that period, this is a hoot, since… Read more

Triumph is one of the unsung Canadian rock groups of the 80's and 90's. As a trio from Canada they have often been compared to Rush, but the music is completely different... you can actually understand the lyrics in Triumph's songs, and don't end up feeling like you landed in a Lord of the Rings story about trees singing in the forest or other such nonsense!

Alllied Forces is a strong, positive, UPLIFTING record... start to finish.

If you buy just one Triumph album, buy this one! As someone who got in to the Triumph when this album first came out on vinyl, and has become a life-long fan of the group and Rik Emmett's solo career as a result, you will not be disappointed!
