...Tolle's teaching is in places insightful, mystical, yet with strong under currents of New Age mumbo jumbo followed by periods that are absurd, eccentric and falling into gibberish. I believe Tolle has had some genuinely mystical experiences in his life. He is a very sincere and well intentioned fellow. However, his problems arise once he has attempted to interpret that mystical experience; to reduce it to a psychological formula for enlightenment. Tolle is a perfect example of the delusions that arise from an intellectual interpretation of the mystical. Aloha,I apologize for not getting this in one post!Eckhart states essentially that the mind is always causing problems, is always tricking you, and that the heart and body are always telling you the truth. This is a very odd distinction to make given that the mind, heart and body are one entity. And in that oneness, each element has its share of truth and falseness. It's unbalanced to soley focus on the mind as the villian.Also, Tolle states that in the years to come many women are going to experience full enlightenment during their menstration period. Aloha,I did Rodney's excellent VHS "Yoga for Energy" 3 times a week for 6 years. Finally got a DVD player and wanted to try something new. This Power Yoga DVD keeps with Rodney's tradition of quality yoga teachings. Imho, it's fine for either the beginner or intermediated student. Sure, the beginner won't be able to do everything right away, but that's ok, they'll be able to learn quickly.Over the years Rodney has become my favorite "video" yoga teacher.
