I cannot get enough of Daniel Silva's Gabriel Alon character and the intricate stories which he weaves about this intrepid spy. Frankly, after reading all the books in this series, I almost expected Mr. Silva to have reached the end of the line as our fictional hero seemed to have reached the end of his career in the last novel. Nonetheless, the current novel picks up where the previous ones have left off, and with a cast of familiar and new characters ,we see that Silva (& Alon) still have some gas left in their tanks. I can hardly wait for the next engaging volume and I hope that our author can keep finding ways to prevent Gabriel from leaving the service of his country.

I am a major Patterson fan. While dissapointing, most of his co-authored books have come close to his expected standards. Not so Toys. At best, an adolescent novel, hints at sex to make it more compelling, but in the end, unappelaing to children, teens or adults. James, please do what you do best or you will lose your loyal following, of which I am one. Toys, a futuristic novel, is neither good science fiction nor does it grab the thriller category. It falls flat in all areas. Sorry, don't waste your money (I did).

Frankly, I can't get enough of the Michael Connelly mysteries, including both the Harry Bosch and the Virgil Flowers series. Since I only started reading his books in the past few years, I had missed Connely's earlier works. That's why I purchased the two "Harry Bosch Novels" Volumes 1 & 2. The story lines are typical Connelly, intricate, intriguing and engaging. The only down side to the two volumes of the 3 book sets, is that each one is pretty heavy (physically) to read in bed. Enjoy and save money too!!
