Mapping the First World War: Battlefields of the G&hellip by Simon Forty
The Introduction alone is worth the price of the book but most of the maps are too small a scale reproduction to be readable. Excellent examples of the mapping at the time though.

Subdues loud noise and amplifies low noises, gunfire and range commands, but not at the same time. Set for high volume does not muffle sound properly but when turned off functions properly as an ear protection. Much heavier than normal earmuff protection. Compared to non electronic earmuffs.

3.0 out of 5 stars This is a reprint., Oct. 21 2013
Buyer beware, This is a compilation and reprint of four earlier Osprey books published as the "Essential Histories" series. To be exact, numbers 13, 14, 22, and 23. I purchased this book only to find later that my library contained the earlier series. Content and presentation is excelent as in the earlier books. The only disappointment lay in the duplication in different title and binding but that was a big one !
