I couldn't put this book down! I can only imagine how much research Jodi Picoult needed to do in order to create a story involving brain injuries and wolf characteristics and habits - and sound plausible!
I highly recommend this novel, whether you're a fan of Picoult's books or not. I think this is one of her best. My way of telling a good story is often whether I care deeply about the characters and what happens to them. Believe me, I did care. Enough to need a kleenex box. Caroline

I would never have discovered this book without it being a choice for our monthly Book Club. I'm glad I read it and couldn't put it down! I wanted to find out what happened to all of the characters. I will have to read it again to catch all the details and layers of the story. Tim Winton is an author who certainly makes you care about his characters, with all their flaws and all their strengths.
