Wow, great way of describing the the life of Winter. This book lifts up the lifestyle one type of an African American teenager girl in the ghetto life in Brooklyn, NY. As we readers, imagine the different transitions Winter goes through in her life. Shocking, wild compelling way to write a book, but it a type of book which theoretically represents and lets you get the feel of what's like to live in the 'hood' lifestyle in the ghetto. Reality check! Don't judge if you ain't know the 'hood'. I thought the story could have went the other way around but I guess that's the whole point of life really, sometimes our lives ends like a cliff-hanger. That's exactly what this book is.
