After anticipating this book for nine years, I must confess to being let down in the same way a child is when they find out there is no Santa Claus. The editors of this book should be shot and fired for letting this one leave their offices without two thirds being left on the editing floor. The description of the caves was interesting the first couple of times but by the end of their journeys I must admit to skimming over most of it.
My biggest disappointment (well, there were so many!) was the absolute change in Jondalar's character. Who can really make the leap to believe he would hook up with Marona. This is the woman he left at the altar and who tried to humiliate the woman… Read more
