In My Own Words:
I'm a veteran radio announcer (since 1988). I like most kinds of music but prefer 70s rock and soul (fav songs: Wildflower, Skylark & Me and Mrs. Jones, Billy Paul).

I love DVDs! Weird and dark comedy movies are preferred.

My favorite TV shows to watch are Mystery Science Theater (I own many of the episodes) and Brit-coms (Red Dwarf, Fawlty Towers, etc).

Dogs rule and cats drool!

The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. &hellip DVD ~ Joel Hodgson
This will be another set of Sci-Fi Channel episodes: 851 Time Chasers, 908 Touch Of Satan, 1003 Merlin's Mystical Shop Of Wonders and 1006 Boggy Creek II. Rhino has made a statement that this doesn't mean they will no longer be releasing episodes from the Comedy Central years. Don't worry fans, more are coming. But hold on to your vhs ep tapes for now.

You must admit this is 4 of the best MST3Ks, Sci-Fi Channel years or otherwise. Oddly, none of these films even touch the worst that Mike & The Bots (or Joel & The Bots) had to ordeal on the SOL. Sure, they're bad, but not Manos bad or Hobgoblins bad. Time Chasers and Merlin could be considered decent fare if you happened to… Read more

First, like many here, this is one of my top favorite shows. I feel like I've grown up with the Ingalls family and really care about them as characters in these stories. Many of these episodes give me a special feeling that can often bring tears to my eyes (Just hearing the music can do that). You'll have to buy the pilot episode separately but it's worth the money. The first 2 episodes (Harvest of Friends and Country Girls) are a magnificent start! The Ingalls settle in and we get to meet some of the most enduring characters to ever appear on TV. I was about to list my other favorites of the first season but the list is too long. :) Highlights are The Racoon, a 2-parter called The… Read more
The Toy DVD ~ Richard Pryor
The Toy DVD ~ Richard Pryor
Gleason and Pryor together in the same film. How could it miss? They have some really fine moments with the rest of the very funny cast. Some have objected to the story but if Pryor saw nothing wrong with the film I don't either. This is one of those wonderfully silly comedies from the 80s that takes me back. It's one of those films that's "never quite as funny as all that" but Pryor and Schwartz turn in good performances with eventually likeable characters. The friendship they form is great. Makes you feel good.

Scott Schwartz, who plays Gleason's son Eric, said he wrote a sequel himself but it's difficult to take him seriously for obvious (and painful) reasons. He went… Read more
