2.0 out of 5 stars I was expecting more, May 10 2012
Emma is a Princess of a small Country awaiting word on an arranged marriage. When word finally comes, she sets off to London on an adventure before her brother arrives to fetch her. Emma is met with trouble once arriving in London, and the hero-Nick, sweeps in to rescue her. Nick, who has just come into his title, is a retired Navy Captain. After finding out Emma has nowhere in London to stay, Nick offers her a room in his townhouse, not knowing her true identity. Emma convinces him to show her around London for the week, and on these outings they begin to fall in love. The morning after a night spent with Nick, Emma leaves Nick and goes back to her brother, who has been looking for… Read more
The Irish Duke by Virginia Henley
The Irish Duke by Virginia Henley
My title pretty much sums up how I viewed this book. This book is based on the life of Lady Lousia Russell who is the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford (their book was the first in this series called The Decadent Duke). He is an Earl, he would be referenced as 'my lord' or Lord Brendall. Then there were the numerous sex scences. They were not passionate or romantic in anyway, they were down right dirty. Using language right out of a porn film. There are certain words I do not want to read in a romance novel and all of them were used to describe the… Read more
