Having read "The Da Vinci Code", I was quite exited to dig into "Angels & Demons", Robert Langdon's first adventure. I found out, however, that I was reading the same book. Robert was yet again with a female "sidekick", the ending "twist" had the same elements, and the villian had the same mindset. Only the location and a few plot elements changed.
Having that being said, I would like to say that "Angels & Demons" is still an interesting read. Dan Brown seems to do his research while writing his novels, and since the chapters are short, I kept saying "Just one more chapter" as I read the book. I managed to… Read more
If you "like" punk rock, but you don't like The Clash, you're a tool. The people these days listening to "punk" bands like New Found Glory and Good Charolette are sad. That's not punk at all. Listen to Londing Calling. Now THAT'S PUNK. I read a review on this album on Amazon, and couldn't agree more. Punk rock is about going against society, like wearing clothes that nobody else wears, and having little or no respect towards authority. Then you have bands like Good Charolette coming out and complaining that they're tired of people telling them that they're not punk. Guess what? You're not. You're POP rock, not punk. Well, let me start off by saying I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I own all of their CD'S (even "Presence" and "Coda"), but this "Best Of" compilation should've been called "The Most Popular Of Led Zeppelin", because all of the songs on this CD are their songs that have the most radio-play ("Stairway To Heaven" anyone?). I'm not saying that these songs are bad, but so much good music was left out. Why is it that the second CD only has ten songs? "Ramble On", "Fool In The Rain", "Hey Hey What Should I Do Now?" and "Misty Mountain Hop" are some of their best material, yet it wasn't put on the CD. I really… Read more
