5.0 out of 5 stars BRUM BRUM BRUM, March 26 2004
My 'almost two year old' who's vocabulary is quite limited as you can imagine, can say these words. He just LOVES this show and now he loves the video. There are only a couple of videos he asks to watch and this is one of them.BRUM, of course, I imagine, is the revving of the car's motor, and little boys do love cars.
About an antique car that lives in a garage, Brum basically saves the day in Big Town in each episode, which is live action, filled with music and mime, and SO creatively assembled. The show has a British style to it, coming from the creators of Tele-tubbies, but it's totally a different concept with real people.
Is it silly? Yes. But… Read more

If you watch a Wiggles or Barney tape, you have to enjoy it through the eyes of your kids. When you watch The Animal Band, you can not only enjoy it through your kids, but you can enjoy it directly yourself. The band is hot. The singer is hot. The guitarist is hot. The music is hot! And... while you enjoy the sounds, your kids can enjoy the sounds AND learn at the same time.
My kids (1.5 and 3.5 yrs old) LOVE this video. No other video gets them dancing in the living room the way this one does. Not sure if it's the music or the animal costumes that rev them up, but they get revved up every time they watch it.
The songs are all solidly entertaining and wonderfully lyricked (is… Read more

My kids (1.5 yrs and 3.5 yrs) learned of Brum one early morning when we chanced upon it on the Discovery Kids channel. It's really amazing. I am not sure why they love it, but they do. All about this little antique car that 'saves the day in big town' in each episode (his name is Brum), the episodes are all live-action (ya gotta love that!) and filled with music. Oddly, I saw BRUM on sale at a radio shack store as a radio-controlled car, so I bought one for the kids. It's one of those shows they ask for in the morning now, so I was thrilled to see the videos hit the shelves.
