From rock'n'roll greats like the Doobie Brothers, Styx, Van Halen to the Pop Metal / Big Hair Bands like Def Leppard, Warrant, Winger and even some AC/DC and Judas Priest, I love rock'n'roll! Somehow in the early 1990's I hit a generation gap when the Seattle Sound and Grunge turned my music into 'Classic Rock!' Oh well, I'd rather listen to what I like than have to constantly change the radio station.
Since I write some reviews on Amazon.com, this should help people figure out what I like. Rock'n'roll with a soul - meaning fun-loving, hard-drivin stuff, nice ballads, good instrumentals, etc. get the thumbs up. Crappy lyrics, singers who really can't sing or just shout or growl (all the time) are outta here! For example, I don't really care for Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. I cannot stand anything that sounds like RAP music. I do like Tesla, Krokus, AC/DC, Dokken, Journey, Bryan Adams, Steelheart, etc. So if you like the same, watch for my reviews and I'll help steer you to some good stuff since you're probably wondering why you're listening to either Classic Rock stations or your own recorded music. Remember, Rok Owt!
