It's my first nonfiction book and the first I've written with another author, Chase Von. It's a compilation of my OLD interviews with living legends like Clint Eastwood, Jane Russell, Tanya Tucker, Ted Kennedy, and others AND Chase's interviews with up-and-coming artists, actors, authors, who may become legends also. This is a book that will inspire readers to stretch to reach their dreams.
My third book is 1106 GRAND BOULEVARD, the title is my actual childhood home in Hamilton, Ohio. The story is what I term "faction" because it's an enhanced version of the true story of the life of my beautiful older sister and her seven (YES, SEVEN) marriages. It's a highly dramatized romp through her life, but the family background information is all factual. 1106 was a fun book to write, even though it brought back some bittersweet memories along with the good. (A wonderful foreword is written by the first boy who ever kissed me, but read it for yourself. ... lol ...)
To find a copy of GRAND, go to Amazon.com, type in the title and it will take you to the buying page where you can view the cover, cover photo, and first chapter, but to learn more about me, visit my website at: www.jmbpub.com/betty.htm (You might be surprised to see a photo of me with a living legend. THAT said to make you curious enough to visit my site.)
My second book, THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY, was released in April, 2005. It's a young adult novel (FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES) ... a fantasy adventure about some good Computer Cartoon Land characters (TOONIES) who get out of the computer into the bedroom of a Silicon Valley 13-year-old boy. The good Toonies are followed here to our Earth by the bad Toonies who attempt to take over Orange Computer, then Grape Computer, Banana Computer ... and then the world. It's a satire of Silicon Valley and is doing quite well. I hope to have time to do a sequal THE TOONIES INVADE NEW YORK.
My first book, MILLENNIUM BABE: THE PROPHECY, is an adult adventure/thriller, published in 2001. I was a long-time journalist and former newspaper publisher/owner, and talk-show hostess for a small Cable station. I live in San Jose, CA and am the proud mother of six children, grandmother of nine, and great-grammy of three who are the 'bananas' of my eye (I like bananas better than apples ... Grin!)
Well, I'm supposed to be a 'little old lady' ...but I'm more of a 'cute, fun-loving young chick' who never plans to grow up. Grin again! I have a good sense of humor and I love to tease people.
I have grayish-blonde hair, blue eyes and a big, big smile. Some of my friends call me 'Legs' ... some call me 'Happy Face' ... and some call me 'Beach Babe One,' so that should tell you something about me. (A bit conceited, too, you might notice.) I tend to be a know-it-all at times, but I'm really smart and it's so-ooo hard to be humble. (Another grin!) But seriously, I love my Lord Jesus and take great pride in my children and my family ... and I do have my serious moments, too. Check my books out at BarnesandNoble.com or Amazon.com or at my website: http://bettydravisauthor.googlepages.com/ (You will also find them in local San Jose/Los Gatos (CA) bookstores.)

With a title like "Eating Smoke," I wasn't sure what the topic of this book would be. At first I thought it was about firefighters or Native Americans smoking peace pipes. :-) But then I read the book blurbs on the back cover and learned this is a true story about author Chris Thrall, a young, ex-Royal Marine who becomes hooked on crystal methamphetamine while living in Hong Kong. When reviewing a memoir it's important to know some of the author's background. From the book description, Chris Thrall was born in Kent, UK, joining the Royal Marine Commandos at the age of eighteen. Following active service in the Northern Ireland Conflict and training in Arctic warfare and survival,… Read more

Hooked on this Dynamite Debut Novel! Hooked on Bianco! If there's any book I like better than one with a surprise ending, it's a thriller with a double surprise at the end--two startling moments that make me gasp out loud. And that's exactly what author Brian Bianco delivers with Dressed for a Kill. Bianco hooked me from the exciting prologue when a woman is going into hiding following the vicious rape and murder of her precious daughter where she was almost killed herself. When the author moves eight years ahead to another rape/murder trial where two guilty-as-sin young men get acquitted of the… Read more

Best-selling author Richard North Patterson had this to say about Steven Gore's Absolute Risk: "A brisk pace and an intriguing plot make the pages turn themselves." I agree with him wholeheartedly. I seldom read espionage books because they get too complicated about matters of which I have limited knowledge, but I was hooked when I read that this book is about the potential collapse of the U.S. economy throwing the world into chaos. The economy being what it is, I think everyone would be interested... But keep in mind that the book IS fiction and highly dramatized--even though possible, it's not very likely to happen this way. Or is it? The story begins with FBI agent… Read more
