Give My Regards to Broad Street DVD ~ Paul McCartney
Give My Regards to Broad Street DVD ~ Paul McCartney
3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre at best, May 28 2004
It is absolutely absurd that anyone could truthfully rate this above 3 stars. "Concert for George", "The Godfather", "A Hard Days Night" those are 5 star films. Then think of all the other great classic films that may be 4 stars. You can't tell me with a straight face Broadstreet is even in the same country with those, let alone on the same street. I am so sick of all the Macca "over-raters" giving 5 stars for everything he does, whether it's garbage or not.

Paul McCartney: The Music and Animation Collection DVD ~ Windsor Davies
Looks like the Macca "over-raters" are at it again. When this one came in the mail, I gathered the whole family (wife + 3 young kids) around the TV for what we expected would be a great time. The good thing is they were over quickly, the bad thing is this set is WAY overpriced for the short content and what you are getting.
Why in the world this doesn't include… Read more

Concert For George (2DVD) DVD ~ Eric Clapton
After 130+ reviews there is not much new to add about how wonderful this set is. I do want to stress how expertly well this was filmed, audio recorded, edited and mixed. A big first for a Beatles related concert film/DVD. Anybody releasing a concert DVD from this point on should be required to view this and learn.
For one thing, if you feel so compelled to make a documentary movie about a concert or tour, include the complete concert on a second disc. As nice as the documentary film part of this set is, if that had been all we got, a lot of the best moments and performances would have been missing. On the flip side, seeing the documentary too added great insights to watching the show… Read more
