There is some overlap between the capapilities of black and white musicians (e.g. hard guitar blues is played (almost?) as good by Gary Hoey and Gary Moore as by Hendrix or Buddy Guy). But it is amazing how some domains are exclusively black or white.The major white domain is probably progressive rock (there is no black Genesis,YES or Gentle Giant), and the major black domain is certainly soul music. I know of no white female that even comes close to the emotionional power and funk of Gladys Knight, Millie Jackson, Chaka Khan (30 years ago with Rufus).
