Over the years I have read Shirley MacLaine's books. Bought all of them. This one I borrowed from the library. I had looked forward to it and was disappointed. I have to agree that this is an attempt at rehash of what she wrote before, and better. Her writing style has changed. It is more a complaint about today and the "it was so wonderful back then" type of nostalgia that is so unlike the Shirley I knew from her books and movies. Too bad. Borrow the book, don't waste money on buying it.
