Like many others who have written reviews here, I first read Mrs. Mike in my pre-teen years. I loved it, and finally got around to buying a copy of the new edition so I could read it again.
It's still a very romantic story, with engaging lead characters. The relationship that Kathy and Mike have is a delight, and the story is filled with romance, adventure, humour, and pathos.
But this time around I noticed a major problem that I'm sure didn't even occur to me 35 years ago.
