Although this volume was written primarily for those looking for guidance to propogate trees from seeds in southern Ontario, it is applicable to a much broader region of northeastern North America. Kock et al. provide an indespensible and reader-friendly resource for anyone interested in collecting and propogating their own tree seeds. Although some of the species included and described occur somewhat south of southern Ontario's Carolinian and mixed deciduous biotic zones, both climate change and anthropogenic-caused tree pathogens are forcing many people working within the disciplines of forestry and horticulture to seriously consider planning for and implementing assisted migration… Read more
