After listening to the BNL first album without Steven Page, I can definitely see how valuable his contributions to his former band were. He adds charisma, good song writing/collaboration, and a defining voice. Further, Page's first album without his former band mates is quite good. His words are moving and it's reflected well in his voice; Page's work is growing even more mature. Definitely give it a try!
Unless you are an absolute diehard fan of the BNL, I would discourage you from purchasing this album. The "new" band sounds flat and heartless without their former frontman, Steven Page. Nothing really stands out as great, in my opinion; some songs are merely okay.
As much as I like sports, I am usually disappointed with their portrayal on mainstream films. REMEMBER THE TITANS is an exception. There are many powerful underlying stories in this film as the movie viewer sees a team meshing together to become the best. This is a very good, compelling drama. Also, Denzel Washington leads the charge with a unforgettable performance.
