I'm a high-school teacher, and the voices in Fishtailing are the voices you hear in the hallways - and the voices you don't hear but know are there. Ms. Phillips captures the emotional turmoil of young men and women who are shot (by their own or other's actions) into high trajectories beyond the reach of help or counsel. We can only pray that they learn to fly before they crash. Some do. Some don't. Fishtailing reflects that reality. The poetry is engaging and unobtrusive. Star Trek - Insurrection (Two-Disc Special Collect&hellip DVD ~ DVD
Star Trek Insurrection is not the best movie in the STNG movie series, but it does what the television series attempted - it tells us that there are benefits to growing up as a species. The evolution of human morals is show in the Baku, the ultimate adult race, and Captain Picard, of course, the universe's anti-Kirk. The bad guys and unseemly elements within the Federation pursue short-term gains at any cost while the crew of the Enterprise stand for truth, justice, and the Federation way. Sure it's preachy, but - darn it! - I want to see Jean-Luc Picard get all holier than thou (and then commit mayhem on the enemy). If you are a STNG fan, you won't be disappointed.

"Whisper of the Heart" defies the anime stereotypes of giant robots and scantily clad (if at all) women. Instead, we are presented with a story about believable characters who are trying, like the rest of us, how to live a valid life. This movie should appeal to many, but if you have a young person in the house who is a musician or writer - or who wants to be one - give them the gift of watching this sweet, humane story.
