During the recent year and a half that I lived in the Bay Area, I enjoyed having this book. It suggests routes for San Francisco plus the North, East, and South Bays. It also has a lot of information about each course and about a handful of Bay Area races. For someone who has lived his or her whole life in the Bay Area, maybe the information seems redundant. However, for a newcomer like myself, the hints were very welcome. My biggest beef with the book is that several of the courses require one to first drive to a certain location.
