Miss Potter

A lovely, lovely story. I enjoyed it immensely. I now feel compelled to research the life of Miss Potter to see how the story ends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Gory for Me, June 1 2013
I watched this movie on the recommendation of my 21 year old daughter. "Lars and the Real Girl" is one of my very favourite movies, and since DRIVE also stars Ryan Gosling I was quite willing to give it a try. The first hour was good, I especially enjoyed the getaway driving scene at the beginning of the movie, but from the botched pawn shop burglary to the end of the movie I covered my eyes during several horrific, and gory scenes of violence. My husband even agreed that the movie was far too gory. I realize that many people are comfortable with such scenes and even enjoy them but I do not. Yuck. Do not show this movie to children!!
Complete Idiots Guide To Understanding Catholicism by Bob Ogorman
I totally agree with a previous reviewer If you want an easy book about the church buy Catholicism for Dummies instead. It is a great book and the author, Father Trigilio is very knowledgeable. If you read this you will see a misrepresentation of the Catholic faith - certainly not the reason you chose to read it in the first place. I threw my copy of this book into the fireplace. It looks like a new 'Idiots' version of Catholicism has now been released with new authors. Perhaps it is better.
