I never read 500 pages in two weeks before, I'm usually a slow reader, but this is great ! It's one of the best suspense novels EVER. The chapters are very short and they end with a twist, a bit like the Da Vinci Code. The pages just fly by... I recommend it !

I had never read Alastair Reynolds before. This book is a true wonder of science fiction, but it also stands very well on its own simply as a novel. If you liked movies like "The Matrix" and "Star Wars", you'll LOVE this. Reynolds does a seemsless blend of sci-fi and the spiritual. The result is stunning, if a bit hard to read during the first few pages. There are a lot of technical terms to familiarize yourself with, but once that is done, you're on your way... to one hell of a ride. If you like sci-fi, got get this book! I highly recommend it. My only question is: When do we get to see the movie?
