Wow! I haven't done any preserving since my children were young (20+ years ago), but this book has inspired me to get back to it. Recipes are creative, fun, and mostly simple. And it's Canadian; it uses the foods we have available and breaks them into the seasons when they are available. The author also has a great sense of humour, which makes the book a pleasure to read. Yep, it's back to the pleasures of canning for me.
