2.0 out of 5 stars American flavored, March 18 2014
This is supposed to be Sir Winston Churchill: His Finest Hour but as you listen his speech to the House of Commons following Dunkirk has to be included but it isn't. The speeches with reference to the US however are all there, again non-sensical considering US took the position of "Splendid isolation" sitting on it's hands until Pearl Harbor happened in fact the US Ambassador to Britain (Joseph Kennedy) wanted the US to enter the war on the German side, a fact conveniently forgotten by the US.

The intention of compiling a collection of his speeches from those he made during WW2 is admirable but for it to be a successful endeavor it should include all of the speeches that… Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, Dec 6 2013
I have liked Lost Girl from day one however Season 3 has the fewest episodes of the 3 seasons, I have noticed with some other TV shows is that as the fan base grows the makers start taking liberties and reducing the number of shows seems like a perfect example. I must admit that I don't get to watch the show every week so I buy the series on dvd. In the first two series there was an underlying story throughout the whole series, Bo's mum, Geruda but not in this season, the only thing constant in all the series is that Lauren saves the light from getting themselves in too deep on a regular basis but when Bo can't get her own way she treats Lauren like dirt, not an endearing quality. I haven't… Read more

With the exception of season 3, which I thought was below par, I'd always enjoyed Dexter. With the way season 7 ended I thought there was a lot of potential to make an excellent final season, was I ever wrong. Dexter ends Debs life and dumps her in the sea no differently than he would with any of the other lives he ended. He gives his son to the returning Hannah who of course takes him to Argentina, fakes his own death and goes on to be a lumberjack, absolutely pathetic and if that's the best they could do for a storyline, especially for the final season, it's a good job the show has finished. If you haven't purchased it, save your money for something worthwhile spending it on, with… Read more
