The setup was a cinch. Just plug in the adapter to the USB extension cable which is plugged into the back of the Sony blu-ray player (in this case, it was a BDP-S370), enter your router's network password and that's it!
Watched streaming HD movie portions from Netflix to test it, like "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" and the beginning action scene (chimps being chased and captured) was smooth in every way, with the video quality set to highest in Netflix. Signal strength is about 3 out of 5 but this is with an older model wireless G Linksys router (WRT-54G2 to be exact) on cable internet of about 7-8Mbps maximum download speed.
I just got these today actually so after the break-in period, they should sound even better! FYI - I have an Asus Xonar DX sound card in my computer. It's not a high-end sound card but has very good loudness and clean sound.
The first thing I noticed is how deep but narrow these speakers are. So have to be careful to place them in an area where your arm movements do not accidentally knock them down sideways... Yet, they produce truly great sound for speakers of this size. I own a pair of Paradigm Studio 20s (100W each RMS) so I have developed a very keen ear over the last 4 years, listening to these amazing speakers. I received the Godzilla action figure yesterday and love it! It has a range of movements in many parts of its body, like the tail, hands, legs, head, mouth etc... and can be made to pose in many nice poses. The detail of the engraving of the body/skin, the eyes, claws etc.. is also very good. It has no issues with standing and does not wobble, is very stable and had no defects, though one eye seems to be slightly smaller than the other, but this is not a concern for me.
My only serious criticism is that, for THIS PRICE, I expect a Godzilla TWICE THE SIZE! Godzilla is a monster and a giant monster at that! So for such a pricey toy, surely, they can do better than a mere midget 6… Read more
