I enjoyed my second Michael Connelly novel, "The Brass Verdict". I came across his Lincoln Lawyer series when I saw ads for the new movie coming out. Lawyer Mickey Haller is a great, fully realized character and shines again here. The only complaint that I have with this is the same as I had with the first Lincoln Lawyer novel, the ending. In both cases you have a great build up for a rather weak pay off. I would love to give the novel a higher rating but the feeling of, "What? It's all over?" at the end left me a little disappointed.
